Our Special Capabilities

Coating Thickness Measurement

Continuous X-Ray Monitor

Measures coating thickness of each coil, top and bottom from start to finish.

Real Time Measurement
(see chart below)

1. Reaction to process variation.
2. Targeting enables Marjan to hit center of specification and close specification limits.
3. Better statistical data (CP and CPK values).
4. Coating thickness readings from beginning to end of each coil.
a. Formerly, other coaters and platers took a 12" sample from the end of each coil and measured coating thickness on the sample. That procedure does not take into account process variation and coil to coil variation.
5. Measures edge-center-edge across width.
6. More uniform insertion forces because of better control of coating thickness.

40 to 80 Micro-Inches

Now with continuous X-Ray monitor, Marjan is able to hold this specification.
